Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Calmio (“the App”) helps users cultivate emotional awareness through daily tracking, reflection, and mindful practices. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, store, and use.

Calmio is a fully offline, device-only application. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Calmio does not collect or send any of the following:

  • Personal information (such as name, email, phone number, or account details)
  • Contacts
  • Health or medical data
  • Location data
  • Photos or media
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or crash reports
  • Tracking or profiling data

The App does not communicate with external servers or third-party services.

AI Processing Transparency

Calmio does not transmit journal entries, emotion data, or any user content to external servers for AI processing. All features, including optional reflections, operate entirely on the device.

3. Data Stored on Your Device (Local-Only)

All data used by Calmio is stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or shared by us. You remain in full control of your data at all times.

3.1 Emotion Control Records

Calmio may store the following items locally:

  • Daily emotional control successes
  • Achievement progress

These records are stored locally on your device and are deleted only when you manually clear data from within the App.

3.2 Journal Entries (Joy & Confession)

Your journal text and reflections are stored strictly on your device. They are never uploaded or transmitted to us or to any third party.

You may delete individual entries or erase all data at any time using the in-app controls.

3.3 Reminders

Notification and reminder preferences (such as whether reminders are enabled and at what time) are stored locally on your device and used only to schedule reminders.

Local notifications are handled entirely by your device’s operating system.

4. PIN Code & App Lock Security

If you enable App Lock within Calmio:

  • Your 4-digit PIN is securely stored in the iOS Keychain.
  • Your PIN is never uploaded or shared.
  • Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) is handled only by the operating system.

Resetting App Lock requires clearing all app data from within the App:

Settings → Clear All Data

5. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete all local Calmio data at any time from within the App:

Settings → Clear All Data

This will permanently delete:

  • Emotion records
  • Achievements
  • Joy & Confession entries
  • Reminder settings
  • App Lock PIN
  • All other app preferences

Deletion is performed on your device only. We do not hold any copies of your data on our servers, because we do not operate servers for Calmio.

6. Third-Party Services

Calmio uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, remote servers, or advertising services.

The App does not integrate with social networks, cloud services, or external data providers.

7. Children’s Privacy

Calmio does not collect personal data and does not require account creation or user registration.

Calmio is designed as a general well-being and reflection tool and is not intended to provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.

8. Contact & Support Communications

The Calmio app itself does not collect or transmit any personal data. However, if you choose to contact us by email, we will receive the information you provide in that communication.

This may include:

  • Your email address
  • Your name (if included in your email client settings or signature)
  • The contents of your message and any information you choose to share

We use this information solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and providing support. We do not use it for marketing, do not add it to mailing lists, and do not share it with third parties.

We retain such communications only for as long as necessary to handle your request and maintain basic records of support interactions, unless you request earlier deletion where applicable under local law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Because Calmio is fully offline and does not use remote servers, changes to this policy will apply only when you install a new version of the App that includes the updated policy.
